Yanmar Parts

Specialising in small diesel engines for tractors, construction vehicles and marine use, Yanmar was founded in 1912 in Osaka, Japan under the name of Yamaoka Hatsudoki Kosakusho, this was later changed to Yanmar in 1921. In Japan, oil supplies were a rare commodity so a requirement to supply efficient engines for a wide variety of uses was met by Magokichi Yamaoka in 1933 with the invention of the first cold start small diesel engine, the HB model. It wasn’t until 1967 that Yanmar made their first tractor fitted with one of their leading water-cooled diesel engines. Today the agricultural section of Yanmar is a well-known and respected global brand specialising in utility tractors, tillers, snow blowers and small transports.
