RASSPE PRODUCTS

Rasspe Systemtechnik, Wermelskirchen, is part of the medium-sized, internationally operating GROUP SCHUMACHER. The brand RASSPE® now specializes in yarn knotting machines and binding systems for square balers, where as the RADURA® brand specializes in cutting, chopping and harvesting grain, grass for combines, harvesters and mowers. These components make a substantial contribution to a harvester’s overall performance which are often exposed to enormous stress and strain so these parts need regular replacement. The RADURA® product range offers high-quality and perfect-fit parts: Knives and sections for cutter bars, straw choppers, self-loading forage wagons, balers and mixer feeders as well as forged guards, disc mower blades and accessories.

Disc Mower Knives

The trademark RADURA® is world famous for disc mower blades with a long service life and a clean cut. A special cold rolling process of the cutting edges of the RADURA® blade results in a more durable edge and maintain a sharp edge longer than a ground edge. Advantages of RADURA® quality blades are:

Knife Sections

Rasspe knife sections are made in a special production process that maintains their sharpness for extremely long periods. The special material, used inconjunction with the induction heating process, result in long lasting sharp cutting edges. Also due to the material strength a high break resistance is achieved around the fastening holes. Depending on the cut material different serration shapes are available which guarantee a clean cut and a long performance under all harvest conditions. Straw Chopper Knifes

“radura® STRAW” is the new generation knives for choppers of combine harvesters and other chopping devices. All knives can be produced with smooth or serrated edges, with or without bushing and additional top edge. Induction hardening, narrow weight tolerances and reaming of the bore result in highest quality. Rasspe uses a special steel alloy and heat treat process to maximize safety and chopping performance. The whole production process is conducted according to certification standards. All straw chopper knives are weighed during the production process to adhere to very low weight tolerances which maintains chopper balance and avoids problems created by unbalanced straw choppers. Advantages are:

• Narrow weight tolerances guaranteeing a smooth running of the straw chopper rotor
• Induction hardening of the cutting edges improves the wear resistance
• Time and cost saving resulting from longer service life and fewer changes of knives
