Workshop Oil & Ancillary Products
As a maintainer/operator/owner of a tractor, one of the most important things to regularly check are the oil levels in the various engine components. These include the transmission, hydraulic system, (if appropriate), and actual engine. Having a correctly lubricated system not only makes things ‘slippery’ for efficient movement but it also reduces the amount of wear and tear on the mechanical parts by decreasing the amount of friction caused during operation. Engine oil can also reduce the operating temperature to enable the machinery to run at extreme temperatures without causing overheating and costly repair bills. Whilst you are checking the oil levels you could also ensure that your cooling system is topped up and has a suitable amount of coolant/antifreeze for the time of the year.
During the summer antifreeze/coolant increases the boiling point of the engines cooling system via the radiator. It also stops the water in the cooling system from freezing during the colder months. Other benefits include protection from corrosion, stops the build-up of scale and sludge, it also allows heat transfer to a vehicles heater matrix for warming internally. Ideally you should have a 50/50 mix of antifreeze to water but it’s worth checking with your vehicle’s manufacturer for the correct coolant mixture. Many components in your tractor require Workshop Oil & Ancillary Products, and their capabilities are managed by the type of machinery that requires lubricating or cooling. You will find all sorts of 2 Stroke Oils, Engine Oils, Hydraulic Oils, Transmission Oils, Universal Oils on MalpasOnline.
